If you’ve been following ELSA AND ME on social media, reading our newsletters, or just checking in on our blog in the last few months, then you’ve undoubtedly seen our Herstory series. Each entry profiles a woman we admire by asking them some set questions, like what they enjoy about their work and how an older woman from their family inspired them, as well as showcasing some fantastic photos of the subjects wearing our dresses.
Empowering women and acknowledging the influence of a previous generation are things we’re passionate about here at ELSA AND ME. So with the start of women’s history month (which is THIS month), we wanted to take the Herstory profiles to the next level and highlight these amazing women in a way that you’ll be able to better get a sense of them and their stores -- with video.
And since ELSA AND ME is based in Brooklyn, our first round of Herstory video profiles will focus on introducing women who are living and working in our home borough, and give them a platform to explain how their grandmothers inspired them (something we know a bit about).
Please enjoy our first video Herstory profile: Malene Barnett.
