Throughout #EMPOP at The Market at The Roger Smith Hotel this March we're collaborating with Uprise Art, an online gallery for the next generation of art collectors, who will be providing the shop's walls with photography from Swedish-born artist Anna Moller. Her photography will be available both to be experienced and purchased.
Moller captures the landscape of her homeland through refined, contemporary photographs. From sparse trees to ethereal reflections in calm lakes, Moller’s work mimics the silhouettes and forms seen throughout the ELSA AND ME line.
Moller has been recognized by the New York Photo Awards, International Photography Awards and American Photography. She received an award from PDN’s “The Look” contest after capturing a behind-the-scenes look at NY Fashion Week for AnOther Magazine. Her solo exhibition “The Long Way Home”, which debuted at the Wild Project Gallery in New York City, features a series of ethereal landscapes shot in Sweden, and was later commissioned by the United Nations. In 2012, she was named one of the "Ten Most Inspiring Artists in New York” by Refinery29. Her photographs have been featured commercially in a range of publications, from Papier Mache and Nido, to City Magazine and Real Simple , as well as for fashion initiatives supporting designers such as Loeffler Randall, Roberta Freymann, and Jules Smith.
“What I see is an endless ocean of meaningful moments. Gestures. Gazes. I want people to feel connected. I want them to think, ‘I belong to something, and something belongs to me.’” – Anna Moller
